NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR AN AGRICULTURAL SHORT SUBDIVISION
Notice is hereby given that on March 26, 2025, Heather Mussard applied for an Agricultural Short Subdivision under case number SSS2025-00003 to authorize the Agricultural Subdivision of an 18.86-acre parent parcel into a 3-acre Farmstead Parcel and 16.86-acre Agricultural Parcel at the subject property. As proposed, the 3-acre Farmstead Parcel will contain two existing shop buildings and an existing single-family residence. The existing single-family residence is connected to a private well and an existing on-site septic system. The proposed 16.86-acre Agricultural Parcel will remain in agricultural use. Both lots will be served by an existing access from Woodland Rd. The subject property is located within the Agricultural zone, no land disturbance proposed. The application was determined complete on June 3, 2025, indicating that all submittal requirements were met. The subject property is located at 7720 Woodland Rd within Section 29, Township 40 N, Range 02E of W.M. Assessor's parcel number: 4002293310350000. The application will be reviewed under the Official Whatcom County Zoning and Critical Areas Ordinances, as well as reviews by Whatcom County Planning and Development Services (Fire Marshal's Office, Natural Resources and Planning), Public Works Engineering and Health Department. Any person may submit written comments to McKenna Thompson, the above address or at Mthompso@whatcomcounty.us within 14 days of the publication of this notice. Written comments must be received by July 1, 2025. Any person has the right to receive notice of and participate in any hearings, request a copy of the decision once made, and to appeal a decision when allowed by law. In addition, any person wishing to receive personal notice of any decisions or hearings must notify the department to receive such notice.
