An ordinance amending the "Parks and Recreation" Chapter of the Code of the City of Arlington, Texas, 1987, through the amendment of Article I, Definitions, Section 1.01, Definitions, by the amendment of the definitions of "Bicycle", "Park Board", "Park and Recreation Department Official", "Permit", "Recreation Center", and "Vehicle", and the addition of the definition of "Hearing Officer"; Article II, Park and Recreation Board; Article III, Control of Vehicles, Section 3.02, Traffic Control; Article IV, Park Property, Section 4.05, Weapons; Article V, Recreational Activities, Section 5.05, Animals and Pets, Subsections (A)(5), and (C); Section 5.06, Off-Leash Sites for Dogs, Subsection (A), Definitions, and Subsection (B), Regulations; Section 5.07, Games; Section 5.09, Models; and Section 5.10, Trail Use; Article VI, Nuisances and Behavior, Section 6.01, Alcoholic Beverages; Section 6.06, Amplified Sound; and the addition of Section 6.07, Prohibited Items; Section 6.08, Park Amenity Use; Section 6.09, Picnic Pavilion Use; Section 6.10, Personal Property; and Section 6.11, Public Health and Sanitation; Article VII, Permits, Section 7.01, Permits Required; Section 7.02, Application Procedure; Section 7.03, Standards for Issuance of Permit and Procedures, Subsections (B), (D), and (G); and Section 7.04, Scheduling Fee; Article VIII, Park and Facility Operating Policies, Section 8.01, Park Closings; Section 8.02, Powers of the Park Board and the Director; and Section 8.03, Limited Use of Pirie Park; Article IX, Arlington Park Development Fee, Section 9.12, Procedures for Updating Development Fees, Subsections (B)(4) and (C); Article XI, Enforcement, Section 11.01, Penalty; Article XII, Athletic Field Use, Section 12.01, Definitions; Section 12.03, Policy Administration; Section 12.05, Requirements for Organizations Using Facilities, Subsection (A); and Section 12.12, Concessions; by the amendment of the title of Article XIII, Golf Courses; and Section 13.01, Hours of Operation; relative to the amendment, addition, and repeal of various provisions of the Parks and Recreation Chapter, as recommended by the Parks and Recreation Board as well as City Staff; providing for a fine of up to $500 for each offense in violation of the ordinance; providing this ordinance be cumulative; providing for severability, governmental immunity, injunctions, and publication; and becoming effective ten days after first publication.
Any person, firm, corporation, agent or employee thereof who violates any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined an amount not to exceed Five Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($500) for each offense. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
