Description of Work:
1. Work may be generally described as:
Playfield upgrades.
Work includes but is not limited to:
1. Demolition.
2. Concrete.
3. Concrete and asphalt pavement.
4. Storm sewer.
5. Landscaping and irrigation.
Pre-Bid Conference:
A pre-bid conference will be held on June 24th, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the project site. All companies intending to bid as a prime contractor, as well as major sub-contractors are encouraged to have an employee of the company attend and identify themselves and the company on the sign-in sheet.
Bids Due:
Sealed Bids will be received up to 3:00 PM July 1st, 2025 at the District Office, Peninsula School District No. 401, located at 14015 62nd Avenue NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98332. Bids received after the date and time stated above will not receive consideration.
Bid Opening:
Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately following the date and time indicated above for the receipt of bids.
Subcontractor Listing
Estimated cost of Work is less than $1,000,000. Subcontractor list is not required.
Apprenticeship
Estimated cost of Work is less than $1,000,000. Apprenticeship participation is not required.
Prevailing Wage:
It is the responsibility of the bidder to go online to the L&I web page https://www.lni.wa.gov/licensing-permits/public-works-projects/prevailing-wage-rates/ to verify they have the most current prevailing wages at time of bid.
Bid Bond:
Accompany each Bid with a certified check, cashier's check, or surety company bid bond in an amount not less than 5 percent of the Base Bid. Make payable to Peninsula School District No. 401.
Bid Documents:
Bid Documents for the project may be obtained, on or about June 12th, 2025, from ARC.
Electronic copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained via download from ARC's Public Planroom. Visit https://www.e-arc.com/location/tacoma/ and select "Enter Public Planroom" from the menus near the bottom of the page.
Printed copies of the Bidding Documents are available upon request for a deposit in the amount of $50.00, payable to Peninsula School District No. 401. Bona fide Prime Contractors may obtain a maximum of two sets and others a maximum of one set. Additional documents may also be purchased directly from ARC for the cost of printing. Documents may be shipped with shipping purchased directly from ARC.

Bid Documents Return:
Deposits will be returned to Bidders upon return of the Bid Documents to ARC in good condition within 10 days following Bid Opening.
Right to Reject:
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and irregularities in the bidding, and to accept bids which are considered to be in the best interests of the Owner.
Withdraw of Bid:
Bidders may not withdraw bids after time set for the Bid Opening, unless Award of Contract is delayed for a period of exceeding 45 days.
