NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING SOUTH ISLAND PUBLIC SERVICE DISTRICT FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026 OPERATING BUDGET Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held before the South Island Public Service District Commission, the governing body of the South Island Public Service District at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, the 27 th day of June, 2025. The hearing will be held in the conference room of South Island Public Service District, which is located at 2 Genesta Street. The purpose of the public hearing will be to allow members of the public to express their views regarding the proposed operating budget for South Island Public Service District for Fiscal Year 2025- 2026. All persons who attend the public hearing will be given an opportunity to speak. As required by Section 6-1-80, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, as amended, the public is advised of the following: 1. The budget of the South Island Public Service District for the current fiscal year of 2024-2025 calls for operating revenues of $16,986,880 and operating expenses of $16,177,743. 2. The proposed budget of South Island Public Service District for Fiscal Year 2025- 2026 calls for operating revenues of $19,496,064 and operating expenditures of $15,925,106. 3. The proposed revenues for the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 operating budget of South Island Public Service District represent a 15% increase from the operating revenue budget for the current Fiscal Year 4.
