NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OPPORTUNITY Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) FY2026 Proposed Program of Projects (POP) KCATA is offering an opportunity to submit comments or request a public hearing on the proposed Program of Projects for which assistance is being sought from the U.S. Department of Transportation under Sections 5307, 5310, & 5339 Programs. This POP will satisfy the Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) Section 5307, 5310, and 5339 public participation requirements. The funding will be used to support RideKC regional transit services in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. The projects are described as follows: The Proposed Program of Projects includes: Preventive Maintenance: $17,709,750 Operating Assistance: $23,210,827 Transit Buses: $7,332,784 Facility Rehab, Equipment & Other Capital: $10,580,006 Funding Sources: Section 5307: $35,761,302 FHWA Flex Funds: $6,144,277 Section 5310: $439,910 Section 5339: $4,122,742 Local Funds: $12,365,136 Total: $58,833,367 Requests for additional information on KCATA's Program of Projects, written comments and/or requests for a public hearing may be submitted via the KCATA website (https://ridekc.org/kcata/contact-kcata/) under Contact KCATA, select Request for Materials as the purpose on the form. KCATA is committed to an open, transparent, and inclusive public participation process. All formal comments and requests regarding the proposed POP received by 3 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2026, will be thoroughly reviewed and considered before final adoption.
