View original fileNOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING A public hearing will be held on September 23, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at 2901 Troost Ave- nue, Board of Education Building, First Floor, Auditorium, Kansas City, Missouri at which Citizens may be heard on the property tax rates proposed to be set by the Kansas City, Missouri School District, a political subdivision. The operating tax rates shall be set to produce substantially the same revenue which the budget sub- mitted for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026 shows to be required from the property tax. In addition, the debt service tax rates shall be set for the payments of the general obligation bond approved by the voters in April 2025. Each tax rate is determined by dividing the amount of revenue required by the current assessed valuation. The result is divided by 100 so the tax rate will be expressed in cents per $100 assessed valuation.
