NOTICE OF ELECTION Elections Code §12112 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Consolidated Statewide Primary Election will be held in the City of Fresno on Tuesday, the 2nd day of June 2026, for the following offices: City Council, District No. 1 One (1) Full Term of Four (4) Years City Council, District No. 3 One (1) Full Term of Four (4) Years City Council, District No. 5 One (1) Full Term of Four (4) Years City Council, District No. 7 One (1) Full Term of Four (4) Years The qualifications of a nominee and of an elective officer of the district are as follows: A registered voter and must have been a resident of the City for at least 30 days immediately preceding the filing of the nomination papers for that office (Charter Section 304). To be eligible to hold office as a Councilmember, a registered voter must have been a resident of the Council District for at least the same time period (Charter Section 304.1). The City Clerk will issue the residency confirmation letter. Nomination papers for eligible candidates desiring to file for any of the elective offices may be obtained from the Fresno County Clerk/Registrar of Voters, 2221 Kern Street, Fresno, CA 93721. Nomination papers shall be available commencing on February 9, 2026, the 113th day before the election and shall be filed with the Fresno County Clerk/Registrar of Voters, either in person or by certified mail received not later than 5:00 p.m. on March 6, 2026, the 88th day before the election. If no one or only one person is nominated for an elected office, appointment to the elective office may be made as prescribed by Section 10229.
