State College Borough Council will conduct a public hearing and possibly enact the proposed text amendment to the State College Borough Zoning Ordinance on Mon., Nov. 9, 2026, at 7 p.m. The public is invited to participate in-person at the Council Meeting Chambers of the State College Municipal Bldg (243 S Allen St, State College, PA), or electronically by registering at http://www.statecollegepa.us/3162/A-Virtual-Meeting Below is the ordinance shown in its entirety: ORDINANCE _____ AMENDING THE STATE COLLEGE BOROUGH ZONING ORDINANCE (CHAPTER XIX PART D OF THE CODIFICATION OF ORDINANCES) BY MODIFYING THE MAXIMUM HEIGHT OF STRUCTURES IN THE GENERAL COMMERCIAL (C) ZONING DISTRICT Be it ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the Borough Council of the Borough of State College, and it is hereby Enacted and Ordained by authority of same, as follows: Deletion Addition Section 1. Amend the Codification of Ordinances, Chapter XIX, Part D, Section 1804.a. to modify the maximum heights of structures in the C Zoning District: (a) In those areas bounded by (1) the east side of Burrowes Street, the south side of College Avenue, the east side of Hiester Street, and by the north side of Calder Way; (2) the east side of Kelly Alley, the south side of Calder Way, the west side of Humes Alley, and the north side of Beaver Avenue; and (3) in that area generally within a distance of 200 100 feet westward measured from the west side of the right-of-way along the 200 block of South Allen Street and 200 100 feet eastward measured from the east side of the right-of-way along the 200 block of South Allen Street between the south side of Beaver Avenue and the north side of Highland Alley: four stories not to exceed 45 feet.
