Jackson, Defendants PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a pleading seeking relief against you has been filed in the above-entitled condemnation action. The pleading seeks the Court's determination of just compensation for the acquisition of property necessary for the public use and purpose of acquiring, widening, constructing, or improving roads and public utility lines within the Town. The taking is estimated to be approximately 461 square feet (0.011 acres) of a Fee Simple Right of Way and 445 square feet (0.010 acres) of a Temporary Construction Easement and any additional property or interest as the Town may determine necessary to complete the project as it is related to Tax Parcel 023-031-04. The Town has estimated the sum of $800.00 to be just compensation for the taking of the property and has deposited this sum with the Superior Court of Mecklenburg County. To the extent you have, or assert, any interest in the enforcement of these claims, you are required to make defense to such pleading no later than the 11th day of January, 2027, said date being no later than one hundred and twenty (120) days from the first day of publication of this Notice.
