Request for Proposals for Regional Rail Trail Alignment Study-Fort Worth to North Richland Hills The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is requesting written proposals from consultant firms to conduct a study to determine the feasibility and preferred alignment of a future shared-use path (trail) in Tarrant County within or near the Trinity Metro TEXRail right-of-way from the existing Cotton Belt Trail located east of the TEXRail Iron Horse Station in North Richland Hills to the TEXRail North Side Station in Fort Worth. The study area extends approximately 7.6 miles and parallels the TEXRail passenger rail line and roadways providing access to three rail stations. NCTCOG will be releasing this Request for Proposals on Friday, September 11, 2026, in the Bidnet Direct system and will accept electronic submissions through the Bidnet Direct system only. The Bidnet Direct submittal will count as the official submittal. Proposals must be submitted in Bidnet Direct no later than 5:00 p.m., Central Time, on Friday, October 23, 2026.
