6224 PACIFIC HIGHWAY E SIDEWALK GAP COMPLETION PROJECT
CITY OF FIFE, WASHINGTON

Notice is hereby given that the City of Fife will receive sealed bids for the following construction project. Bids will be received inside Fife City Hall, located at 5411 23rd Street E, Fife, WA 98424, up to the hour of 1:00 p.m., on Monday, August 24, 2026, after which, all bids will be publicly opened and read to determine the apparent lowest bidder.
The project consists of curb, sidewalk, and landscape buffer construction, ADA-compliant curb ramps and a driveway approach. Street trees, lawn and streetlight modifications will be provided in the landscape buffer. New catch basins will be added along the new curb line. HMA roadway paving will occur in the bike lane to tie to the new curb line. Work also consists of channelization for a buffered bike lane.
The Contracting Agency has established an FSBE Goal for this Contract in the amount of 15%.
Free-of-charge access to project bid documents {plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to Builders Exchange at www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "City of Fife". It is recommended that Bidders "Register" in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the "Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the online plan room for addenda issued on this project. All bids shall be submitted on the prescribed Bid Forms and in the manner as stated in this invitation and in the Bid Document and said bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of cash, cashier's check, certified check, postal money order, or a surety bond payable to the City of Fife in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Bid Bonds submitted on other than the bond form provided by the City may be subject to rejection. Faxed bids and/or surety bond will not be accepted.
Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the outside clearly marked "sealed bid" with the bid opening date and time, and the project name as it appears in this invitation and the name and address of the bidder. Bids shall be addressed to the City Clerk, City of Fife, 5411 23rd Street E., Fife, WA 98424.

The City of Fife, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
The City of Fife reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or in the bidding.
