PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSISTENCY DETERMINATION UNDER THE COASTAL ZONE MANAGEMENT ACT The City of Gulfport has filed notice of a proposed project which requires review by the MS Department of Marine Resources to ensure compliance with the state's approved Coastal Program under the Coastal Zone Management Act. The applicant is proposing to permanently fill 8.7 acres of non-tidal wetlands to improve and extend the roadway at 16th Street from Canal Road to the east and north to provide additional access to the Gulfport Sportsplex facilities to the north, Gulfport, Harrison County, MS.
