Ordinance Summary
On February 17, 2026, at the County Administrative Center, 175 Fulweiler Avenue, Auburn, CA 95603, the Placer County Board of Supervisors adopted an Ordinance 6363-B, by a vote 4:0 Ayes: Gore, DeMattei, Jones, Landon, Absent: Gustafson, Noes: None to amend Placer County Code (PCC) Chapter 9 (Public Peace, Safety and Welfare) and Chapter 17 (Zoning). Specifically, this ordinance will amend PCC Chapter 9 to provide a simplified process to request an exception to the PCC's construction noise limitations. Additionally, multiple changes will be made to PCC Chapter 17, including, but not limited to: updating the wind, snow and fire standards for moveable tiny homes; providing clarification to code enforcement obligations and authorizing the creation of a lien for unpaid administrative fines; establishing the Zero Emission Multimodal Hub-Stand Alone land use and permit requirements; making changes to minimum lot area and minimum parcel size deviation requirements; adding standards for security fencing in commercial and industrial zones; and making clerical and technical corrections. The amendments to PCC Chapter 17 constitute a Zoning Text Amendment.
